Nicole Bobek, U.S. Figure Skating Champion in 1995, is arrested as part of a meth ring in New Jersey

Kimmie Meissner withdraws from U.S. Championships

Kimmie Meissner, who won the 2006 world championship, the 2007 U.S. national championship, and the 2007 Four Continents championship has withdrawn from the AT&T U.S. Championships due to an injury. This was announced on January 18, 2009, as the U.S. Championships got under way.

Jan. 8, 2009- Five-time U.S. ice dancing champions Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto announced today they will not compete at the 2009 AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Cleveland, Ohio, Jan. 18-25, because of injury.
