Van Eyk McCain is the
author and editor/co-editor of several
publications on the topic of Green
Spirituality, which is about simple
living and the vital role of elders in
healing the damage humans have done to
the Earth. Marian
Van Eyk McCain originally lived
in Plymouth in southwestern England,
but spent most of her life living
abroad, mostly in Australia and the
United States. McCain's career has
included work as a psychologist,a
psychotherapist, a writer,an author and
an editor. She earned a Bachelor of
Social Work and a Part-time Teacher's
Training Certificate in Melbourne,
Australia, and an MA in East-West
Psychology in San Francisco,
California. McCain is the mother of two
daughters, two stepsons, a several
grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
Following her retirement, she and her
husband settled back in England in
1998, in a small village in
Devon.Though retired from the world of
work, she is active in the Green Spirit
movement and continues to write, speak,
and seek new converts to this spiritual
way of life in commune with the
