Comics Hawkeye the marksman is one of the
first truly non-superpowered humans to
join the Avengers (in Avengers # 16).
Clint Barton, better known as Hawkeye,
started his comics career as a villain,
teaming up with the bad guy Swordsman,
and later with Russian
spy/agent/assassin, the Black Widow to
battle against Iron Man. Both Hawkeye
and Black Widow would eventually join
Iron Man in the Avengers. In the 2012 Marvel Studios Avengers
Movie, Hawkeye is played by Hurt
Locker star Jeremy Renner. Renner's
Hawkeye character enjoyed a brief,
rain-soaked cameo in the Thor
movie in 2011, as a set-up for the
upcoming Avengers flick. Jeremy

Widow In the comics, Hawkeye and the
Black Widow carried on a rather torrid
affair, which ended badly and brougth
Hawkeye to blows with Black Widow's
newer lover, Daredevil. What does the
movie version of the Avengers hold for
this dynamic couple? The photo above of
