Jim Zorn: NFL Quarterback and Coach

 

Jim Zorn (b. May 10, 1953 )--NFL Quarterback (1980-1987), NFL Head Coach (2008-2009)--Played professional football as a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 years, served as an assistant coach for 10 years, and a college assistant coach for 8 years. Zorn played college football at Cal Poly Pomona, and signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 1976. In his 11-year NFL career, Dave Krieg played for the Seahawks (1976-1984), the Green Bay Packers (1985), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1987). He also played one season in Canada with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL) (1986).

After his playing days were over, Zorn took up life as a college assistant coach before moving back to the NFL as an assistant coach. In 2008, Zorn was hired as the offensive coordinator for the Washington Redskins, but before the season began, he was promoted to Head Coach. After the end of the 2009 regular season, Jim Zorn was fired the Washington Redskins.
