The Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys have a deep and important history of battling each other in NFL playoff games, with their first two post-season tilts coming in the two NFL Championship games leading up to the first two Super Bowls.

After their 2017 playoff game, the Cowboys and Packers are now tied in their playoff series 4-4.

 

January 15, 2017: Packers 34, Cowboys 31 (NFC Divisional Playoffs)-Green Bay moves on to the NFC Championship game against Atlanta.

January 11, 2015: Cowboys 21, Packers 26 (NFC Divisional Playoffs)-Packers then lost the NFC Championship game to the Seattle Seahawks in overtime.

January 14, 1996: Packers 27, Cowboys 38 (NFC Championship Game)-The Cowboys took the Division Championship and went on to Super Bowl XXX where they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers.

January 8, 1995: Packers 9, Cowboys 35 (NFC Divisional Playoffs)-Cowboys then lost the NFC Championship game to the San Francisco 49rs.

January 16, 1983: Packers 26, Cowboys 37 (NFL Playoffs -2nd round)-Cowboys went on to lose the NFC Championship game to the Washington Redskins.

December 31, 1967: Cowboys 17, Packers 21 (NFL Championship game -now would be called the NFC Championship game)-This is the famous “Ice Bowl” where the game time temperature at Lambeau Field was about −15 °F, with an average wind chill around −48 °F. Packers went on to win Super Bowl II.
