The 2020 Iowa caucuses were the earliestAmerican Presidential caucuses or primary. 2020's caucuses were scheduled for Monday, January 3, 2020. The Democratic Iowa caucuses are a closed caucus, with Iowa awarding 49 delegates, of which 41 are pledged delegates allocated on the basis of the results of the caucuses.

The 2020 caucuses come amid the turmoil surrounding the impeachment trial of President Trump. The Democratic field includes strong contenders, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and several other candidates who could earn an upset by placing well in the Iowa Caucuses

 

The Republican Iowa Caucuses feature only three candidates, Donald Trump, Bill Weld,and Joe Walsh. President Trump is expected to notch a big win.
