The Senate--Senators serve six-year terms. Each state is entitled to two senators, regardless of state population.

The House of Representatives--The House of Representatives contains 435 members, who each serve two-year terms. The number of Representatives from each state is based on the state's population. Those states with larger populations have more power in the House.
