This is the new video commericial by Audi featuring the Spock from
the classic Star Trek (Leonard Nimoy), in a competition with the
Spock from the new Star Trek movies from 2009 and 2013, (Zach
Quinto). This is a clever riff on the duality of the two Spocks, who,
due to a time-travel incident in the 2009 Star Trek movie, now
co-exist in the same universe. While the words Spock and Star Trek
are never used in this video, many of the Spock/Vulcan themes are
seen and heard, from three-dimensional chess to the Vulcan
nerve-pinch. And curiously, the elder Spock, Leonard Nimoy, recites
lines from Lord of the Rings while driving his BMW.

As Spock, er... I mean Leonard Nimoy, is driving to the golf
course, we see and hear him reciting a little ditty called "The
Ballad of Bilbo Baggins." This is a song that Nimoy recorded in 1967
and it was featured in a skit he did on a 1960s variety show called
Malibu U. The video below is from the episode of that show where
Leonard Nimoy is singing the Bilbo Baggins song while some cute
ladies wearing elf ears (or Vulcan ears, if you prefer), cavort
around a smiling Leonard Nimoy.
